The story of Supreme Kesri Tea begins in 1990, in the lush, mist-draped valleys of Assam, where the Brahmaputra river breathes life into some of the world's most extraordinary tea gardens. It was here, on a stretch of fertile land where mornings smell of dew and earth and green, that our founder looked at the rows of glistening tea bushes and made a promise — not just to his family, but to every Indian who deserved a truly honest cup of chai.
That promise was simple: Nature's best. Nothing less.
Thirty-five years later, that promise has never wavered.
Where It All Began
In the early days, Supreme Kesri was not a brand. It was a belief.
Our founder had spent years watching how the commercial tea industry worked — mass harvesting, long supply chains, months-old leaves pressed into bags and sold as "fresh." He saw how much was lost between the garden and the cup. Flavour. Nutrients. Integrity.
He believed Indians deserved better. He believed that if the distance between the leaf and the cup could be shortened — if the freshness of the garden could be locked in at the very moment of harvest — then every morning in every Indian home could be something truly remarkable.
So he stayed close to the land. He built relationships not with brokers, but with the soil itself. He employed local pickers trained to harvest only the finest two leaves and a bud — the gold standard of tea crafting. He invested in a processing unit right within the garden estate, so that from the moment a leaf left the plant to the moment it was sealed in a jar, the journey was measured in hours, not weeks.
This was the Supreme Kesri way. And it still is.
